Some car rallies will have you driving over 500 miles in one day! Our carefully planned route, tries to keep driving to around 6 hours per day. This gives you enough time to fully appreciate the incredible roads and scenery, and also in the evening to enjoy our dinner together and have a laugh.
All teams can check into their beautiful 4 star hotel from 3pm. Set in 360 acres it has panoramic views over the river Clyde. It has an indoor heated swimming pool, luxury spa and even an 18 hole championship golf course. Rally registration is at 6pm, after which we all enjoy a superb welcome dinner together. It’s the perfect time to get to know each other and get ready for your incredible Highland adventure.
The Funball Rally starts at 9am on Tuesday 7th September 2021, this is your chance to take lots of photos of all the other cars taking part, and start having some much needed fun. Some of the route today is part of the legendary North Coast 500, it’s simply stunning and custom made for drivers. The first pass of the day is the Rest and Be Thankful Pass, much of this scenic road runs along the shore of beautiful Loch Fyne. Next up is the Brander Pass, a truly picturesque route with plenty of the all important twisty bits. If you’re a James Bond fan, you will be in heaven travelling on the exact same road he and M did in Skyfall. Words can’t describe how amazing this feels, you have to experience it for yourself. Onward we travel through picture postcard scenery to mystical Loch Ness. After taking lots of photos and trying to spot Nessie, we travel to our 4 star hotel set in 4 acres of beautiful gardens. We have full use of the leisure club, spa and swimming pool, afterwards we all enjoy our dinner together.
Another day another treat for us all. The first pass of the day is the Slochd Summit Pass, which is the second highest in the UK. It’s an awesome road which travels through superb scenery to the unbelievable Cairnwell Pass. This is the highest main road in the UK and is a driver’s paradise. Next up is the Cairn o’ Mount Pass, which the Scottish Tourist Board describes as an ‘adventurous’ road, we do like an adventure on the Funball! From this amazing route we travel on to our 4 star country hotel set in 350 acres of mature woodland, then we all have our dinner together.
Today we travel through the Grampian Mountains on the incredible Drumochter Pass, the summit is the highest point on the route from Inverness to Perth. The road winds beautifully through the Killiecrankie Pass and a dramatic gorge. From here we travel to our 4 star historic hotel and country club, set in 1000 acres of beautiful parkland with two golf courses. After we’ve checked in we are free to use the indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and tennis facilities. In the evening we have a drinks reception and buffet awards dinner to celebrate finishing your Funball Highland adventure. You’ll receive a Funball Rally medal, which you can wear with pride having conquered some of Scotland’s greatest and toughest driving roads.
